As a general thought process for authors writing everywhere - the more we give leeway and portray beauty as important and paving way in our stories, the more it becomes the “norm”. Yes, being beautiful and striving for beauty is not wrong at all but beauty (specifically showcasing “such white, oh so clear skinned beauty”) is not everything or is the most important defining factor for a person. And I do understand this is just a fictional story (good story!) and nothing wrong with making the characters Uber beautiful.
