It's actually Canon that this happened. Though I'm not sure that wish was effective since Raditz... ya know... (Or maybe it was, after all, with the missions the Saiyans were sent on, Raditz was lucky to survive for so long when he was so weak.)

Hmmm, that's a good idea. Though Barriers keeping the barriers active and moving around mid-fight can be a bit distracting. As mentioned during the time he put a barrier around Bulma when he fought Cui. (This idea of barriers being distracting to hold up was taken during the times Babidi used it in fights)

I think you're mistaken that Yamcha has such a big advantage here. Look at how the fight went. Let's say he hypothetically chases after her, what's stopping her from turning around and blasting his head open, and killing him in one hit?

Yea. But she's always worried about the small things, and that wasn't a change just because of Yamcha. She was similar in cannon too. Someone with the potential to create a time machine with scraps after the world was destroyed. While at the same time, normal Bulma in DB never built anything too impressive when compared to Future Bulma.
