Amee is exactly what Cane needs right now!! She is someone that will tell him what he needs to hear but also someone that will listen & truly understand his deepest fears as well. She's known him his entire life so he can scream & yell & let out it all out, to her without holding back. I don't think he'd feel comfortable enough to have this talk with anyone else. Maybe a part of him knew that when he sent for her....

My heart breaks for BOTH of them... I agree with Aliana, he will come around. He needs to sort through his own grief & fears.. & hopefully Iris will be more considerate of him in the future & talk to him, instead of doing something life changing without his knowledge.. Just like all the other difficult & downright awful trials they've endured, I believe this will bond them more & make them stronger together.

Don't forget yall that Cane has lost 3 children, his first in the most brutal way.. Then after the twins died, Iris lost her mind then forgot her own babies. Then let's think about her heart blackening when she finally did remember. So Cane's feelings are just as valid as hers. Both have very legitimate reasons to feel they way they do. Truthfully, I would've been upset with her as well not just bc it was extremely irresponsible but also bc she wasn't being open & honest about her intentions. I personally wouldn't have flat out said, get rid of the baby but I definitely would've been upset.... I think Cane will come around, he just needs some time to sort through his emotions.

I want a happy ending too but this is not your story... I understand why Iris was trying to heal him & that she didn't think it would happen this fast but Decratic is still out there & he's getting reinforcements.. This is the worst time to be pregnant again. If he manages to kill these babies too, it would destroy Iris & blacken her heart again. Will she be able to come back from that??? So while I'm totally happy for Iris too, I absolutely understand how Cane is feeling.. He's lost THREE children already.. I know Iris would never abort her babies & I also know Cane will love them just as much, but right now he's feelings are definitely valid..

I know the Elders support her pregnancy bc they think she could be carrying the future Serafim but if/when they completely destroy Decratic, there won't be a need for another Serafim, right? Just an assumption or theory but I feel like Abby & Iris are the last ones.. I am happy to see her finally standing up to Elder Rose though. I hope she continues to grow into a much more confident person. & I'm totally excited about these "dots!!!" Not great timing but I would still call it a blessing!
