My take on wizarding nobility in HP is different than typical nobility. It isn't like they're suddenly a baron or a duke. They were just recognized as a House with roots in magic, which elevates their standing, but doesn't grant them any actual power. This does give Matteo is a few more rights here and there, but that's it.
