I hope your wife gets better and I don't really remember to much but my Nana once told me to put some oil or something like that on my scar from surgery on my arm to help less it I don't remember fully I have to ask I don't know if it would help but I know it help it look a lot less bad and heal better so I would look into that I try to get back to you and see what it was.
