Kyle had to reevaluate his estimates. As they continued past where they had turned off, it became clear that Dominic was laying a false trail. If the police did find Kyle's phone and assumed that Dominic had discarded it during his escape route, they would think he was headed into a tangle of backroads, empty countryside and isolated uninhabited buildings, perfect for hiding out in. She glanced at the office door, evidently torn. Andrea didn't know what else Madison was working on, but she guessed this was supposed to have been a quick visit.
