I was distracted by the poor grammar. it definitely could have benefited from better editing. I thought the transition from the heroine being determined to fight against her fate and then totalling succumbing to the mate bond too drastic. It would have been nice if she started to have feelings for Jack before being turned.

It has picked up some steam now that the history has been explained.
