I’m glad I found this book the other day, and that you are writing again. It seems like this story is kinda a sequel or continuation of aimless ascension. Is that how it is or am I just filling in blanks with my imagination ?

Is Rachel going to be another merina situation? Or is he actually just messing with her in every way possible because he actually hates and wants to abuse and humiliate her to her core before finally killing her off after he uses her for his setup for revenge against her dad? Because as Amelia said she hasn’ t done anything to him besides their encounters as enemies which couldn’t be helped due to the circumstances and Asher purposely doing it for his plan. But then follows up saying people like dont deserve forgiveness but only more suffering. So is he honestly just going mess with her in always before fulfilling his revenge and kill her off later? Or is he trying to get her to realize who she is and redeem her?

He doesn’t really hate astra does he? I don’t think she’s actually bad? Just being forced to do things as you have shown a few times

Every now and then I get a feeling dragon/summoner and now dread are part of the same universe
