To add on to this, it’s mostly because the colour ‘black’ is very intertwined with the night and darkness, which also represents the unknown as death. It also doesn’t help that crows can be seen near dead bodies which introduced the idea that ‘crows = death/dying’ and with how uneducated individuals are, the rumours started to spread along the lines of “when you see a black bird it means that someone is dying” this snowballed into essentially “a black animal represents death and bad luck that may lead to death”

She was admitted to the hospital Wednesday afternoon, and has been there ever since. She was transferred to another hospital last night, which was pretty scary. She has something called a bowel obstruction (which is common with people who have their large intestines removed) and they thought they would have to take her into surgery.
