I appreciate your perspective but the bullies and Genji are not being controlled, it's only the three kids I mentioned at start(their purpose will be revealed later). I understand your point about the supernatural elements and how they might detract from the slice-of-life aspects of the story. However, I chose to incorporate the supernatural elements deliberately to add an extra layer of depth and intrigue to the story in this arc, nothing more. That being said, I'm grateful for your insights, and I'll certainly take them into consideration as I continue to refine the narrative.
