The second he got into a meeting with the Ancient One, Tom showed off how big his circle had become. It may be something minor to the Ancient One but never has Tom had to work so hard in magic before. The leftover woods fly back to their original shelves and different types of wand cores take their place. Tom ready knows the drill and doesn't have to be told what to do. He walks forward and places his hand on every single one of them. The problem with the cores is that Tom felt a strong connection to more than one of them. One is a bunch of white hairs, and the other is a small finger bone wrapped in black clothe. When Garrick saw Tom react to two different cores, he wasn't too surprised as dual-core wands aren't that rare in custom wands. With every failed match, Garrick's smile widened to the extreme. He loved the difficult customers the most. With the vigor of someone half of his age, Garrick poured through his stock of wands with mad glee.

As the sun rises through the windows, the boy opens his red eyes and squints. He hates mornings and everything that comes with them. The breakfast the orphanage served is plain and the fact that everyone wants to say good morning infuriated the boy. Every time someone says good morning the boy would think 'No, it's not a good morning so leave me alone'. He wouldn't say it out loud as long as no one pestered him too much.
