I didn't think that the most powerful businessman in the city is so stupid that he failed to connect Lyra's location/house where she was raped and was connected to his classmate/lover Fred. When they abducted Fred then, to confront Lyra of her infidelity, did they stupidly not investigate where Fred lived?
Yeah, I commiserate with other commenters, the frequent interchange of Steve Price as the husband of Xaviera, and even mentioning Xaviera as Mrs. Price or wife of Steve, ruins the otherwise coherrent flow of storytelling. I think its been the case in several chapters already. Maybe, the editor or publisher should something about it already
What happened after this conversation of Scarlett and Zara? Zara appeared to completely disappear after this episode without reference on how or where she goes after, considering that Scarlett had invited her to temporarily lived with her in their home at country M
It is really outrageous, and illogical that a CEO and one of the richest man on their city, can not have enough resources, to get thd right information, or even have thf right analysis from the information at his disposal regarding Kathleen's relationship with her biological family (the Wyaths), or to his child with Kathleen.
The author take the reader as idiot. The main female character always fell to the schemes of her opponent without any defensive action from her part or his supposedly loving husband. All these are happening in spite of the fact they all knew that she has been a victim of previous assassination
The last thing I thing I want in a romance novel is for a CEO, supposedly with all resources to verify every information that comes his way, would too stupid to assume that once a man and a woman reside in one residence are living as husband and wife. Please do away with such kind of irrational or ilogical drama. Thanks for tge novel anyway. Its been exciting so far!
