You are correct. After all, it clearly stated that it was "improper" for a divine slave to not have a master and sunny also said avoid his "fate." And its common knowledge that fate is in most cases unavoidable, so there would be sth that would more than likely force him to take the path he wishes to avoid

Spitting facts....the hero was either never incapacitated or he took his time to rid his body of the poison. closing the distance to finish him was tantamount to a quicker death. though there is one confusing detail, why didn't other vomit blood like hero? Why was his special?
He had no chance against the enemy in a direct confrontation, at least not without an advantage. Bloodbane poison was supposed to be his hidden card, but turned out to be nearly useless. In that case, let's agree everybody would have died without the others' help and that all of them are merely murderers.... However you look at it without sunny's actions, he'd be dead by now by "those who helped him," so neither of them are better than the other

I would have told you to keep your thoughts to yourself, but after thinking about it... doesn't this mean he killed people he was travelling with for no reason.....after all prior to the sudden change of events, he wasn't certain they were going to kill him
