What's irksome about these kinds of novels is that the author is too afraid to give their MCs cultivation bases as rewards. The MC is literally receiving cultivation techniques whose upper limit is beyond even the world the mc is in, yet such a meager cultivation increase is added alongside it. The problem here is that authors are confused with either having the MCs focus on fight (the reason why they limit the strength), or nurturing their disciples (which would have made invincibility at earlier chapters alright, as technically, the author can just excuse the mc not fighting with the reason of training the disciples).

It was fun while it lasted, until chapter 23 where the author made Tang Xiao show killing intent toward Yu Yan as well as the mc "forcing" his strength to such a point and at the same time gathering attention by announcing his spirit as being "god-bestowed." This part is really unnecessary and just plain stupid. He lived two lives in vain with such a garbage mentality. Everything that developed up this point is amateurish writing.

And when he was asked regarding the origin of his spirit ring, he responds with it being "god-bestowed." An idiot through and through. If his enemies were to be aware of this, is he expecting them to let him be? I can already smell massive plot armour.

I was right about my comment previously unfortunately, the author only increases the mc's strength whenever it is convenient.

It's because she's too bland and the novel feels like an attempt to live a certain person's fantasy.

As predicted by a commenter many chapters prior, this random redundant character named Yu Yan that the mc is pampering is indeed armed with the cliché of "once in a lifetime, super genius, super rare background, cold as ice, Ice Queen something."

It also provided security for many and accelerated development in a lot of areas until Tang San decided to abolish that for his pursuit and hypocrisy.

Why do authors really like to delay mcs' progress with the dumb cliché of "although this idiot did not make progress, he became much more proficient at whatever garbage he practices but won't be using" and levels them up by leaps and bounds when it is convenient for the story. I can already tell that this type of development stems from constant fights.

The mc is really stupid. He knew how events would unfold yet still chose to reveal everything he had to those around him. I really do not get why mc's from these types of novels feel the need to participate in things when he just needs to develop cautiously. Tang San is being calculated by Asura but he still reveals a lot of things he had. Although this is understandable with their relationship, he then heads on to participate in fighting arenas. And while was in that world for quite long already, his mentally is so childish. When he joined the arena, not only did he show his outstanding talent for big forces to feast their eyes on, he also used his name when signing up. He was almost killed by the Martial Hall due to his talent and he only thought about using the name "Qin Su" when signing up. Even toddlers have better ability to come up with names. It started good with a seemingly capable mc, but later on, it's just your generic "I want to leapfrog to test my ability" kind of garbage mc.
