oh ok, my brain is rotted from the chakra cultivation fics where characters need to manually create chakra by merging and "kneading" the spiritual and physical energies together

yep, like the other guy said, even if it makes the fic's pace much slower it's necessary, it is time-travel after all. But be careful with it, if the pace becomes too slow it'll start becoming boring

And even after that, the winning against them in taijutsu would be hard, they are more talented after all. i think it derived from the chinese naruto fanfics which carried over their 'cultivation' systems over to chakra and it kind of stuck with people

i'd personally go for it, the training is worth it, as long as you have a failsafe for the seal, in this case the time regression, so yep

I would usually prefer the mc to already have it but being a fan of CYOAs this is very interesting. I already commented it, but i'd try to get yin-yang release and the maximum amount of talent possible, since you can potentially do anything with yin yang
I also might've skipped the whole process of choosing ability and just gave MC the Time control, but I wanted to make it more entertaining. Well, what would you choose in that situation? Please let me know in the comments. - BeegBeegYochi2dCommented

fair, no matter how average your talent is you will have an unlimited amount of time to nourish it and if it's too slow you can always just go back in time and ask hagoromo to teach you
