"Would you like some coffee?" Lexus asked when sunlight shone into the room. "Your face looks terrible, I almost thought you were a zombie," he said jokingly, even though the humor didn't reach his eyes.
"Okay, my love ..." For some reason, Hailee fixed that little endearment as her nickname for Ramon. Either she was mocking Ramon or she just really liked him, but for sure, the word 'my love' would always slip off her lips effortlessly. "I will be right back."
"Okay, I will take that as a compliment," said Hailee. "But, remember your words; once we get married, there will be no divorce, it's either we plan our future together or we plan your funeral."
From behind the maroon curtain, Hailee appeared in her wedding dress and there was only one word that crossed Ramon's mind at that moment, but even that one word could not represent his judgment when he saw the entirety of Hailee's figure in the purple dress.
Xander couldn't even finish the sentence. How could he prolong dating any of those women or embark on a romantic journey with them, when his stupid little buddy down there wouldn't even salute to any of them.
"Hmm, don't worry, child. You have escaped death so you will overcome this predicament too. For now, let me give you a name. You can also use my surname, and meanwhile, I can adopt you until you remember anything. You can also stay with me if you want," He suggested as he looked at her with a tender smile.
"You bunch of idiots! Who told you all to sleep at the same time! Boneheads!" The leader bellowed with a look of undiluted fury. Then without warning, he shot the three men in front of him.
"What makes you think I'm joking?" Alex cut him off, his gaze turning piercingly sharp. "You all are truly disappointing. Do you believe that if you turn your backs on Zeke and Sebastian, I'll still be willing to fight for vampires like you? Vampires whose loyalty can be so easily swayed can go die for all I care."
