Not rlly ppl tend to like characters they can emphasize with this characters too polarizing ,its not surprising it put sum ppl off, most ppl me including will never understand fanning any people or characters hard enough to warrant how he’s been acting it would be a lot more palatable if mc was younger like a teenager but author made him a grown man with a beard seeing him fan out on people like this is a little uncomfortable and off putting
