Maybe I'm being greedy but what if he fused the Brimgan range with Cultivator Tertiary nature: Brimgan Cultivator Allows him to advance through the stages with each stage multiplying his range. This will max him out at 1.8 instead of 18 but it's a worthwhile tradeoff no?

Shooting a huge snake was far easier than aiming at a pygmy, but aim didn't matter if he was close enough. Magnum bullets were so destructive that after the point blank shot there wasn't much of the cryptid left and the flux orb appeared almost immediately.
