It's a false choice that is using emotional manipulation to force Sunny to make the decision she wants him to make. It is the illusion of choice she is providing him. He CAN choose to break free, but he would abandon his friends, and Cassie manipulated Sunny so that he would interact with Mordret, so Mordret knows his true name and can enslave him immediately. Therefore Sunny doesn't actually have the choice shown by Cassie, but he does have other options, that would stuff up all her plans.
