I think Victoria was making a sacrifice rather than creating a deception. Lauren doesn't know him well and has the equivalent of a schoolgirl infatuation with him. I know ow what it is too fall for the wrong person to as I have been cheated on many times but I have seen many things from Victoria that makes me believe in her. She was incredibly miserable when she had to end it and wouldn't allow Russell to so much as touch her.
Simple, Victoria stood by Jordan through thick and thin. I believe that Jordan and Lauren should be co-parents but I think you're being to hard on Victoria. She was convinced by Russell that Jordan's father had murdered her father. It was her father, the man she loved the most as a child and family honor would compel her to get revenge. She couldn't stand to see Jordan grow to hate her and instead pushed to have him forget her and marry someone, anyone because no matter who it was she wouldn't love them. Her full character arc makes her the best woman for Jordan. Lauren is nice but they really aren't that compatible and if they ended up together it would be a loveless marriage. Again, I think Jordan should marry Victoria and Co-Parent with Lauren.
I think Victoria has proven herself throughout the book to be the best one for him. When she went to Houston and Russell played his mind games and convinced her that Rowan Steele killed her father and ruined her life. She wanted to avenge that but she didn't want to see the way Jordan would hate and despise her for that and she would have also known that her and whoever her husband was would likely be killed by the Steele's if she succeeded so Russell wasn't a big loss to her.
