Great start author! I honestly don't care if it's AU or not as long as it maintains coherence and respects the tradition of the world one writes about. A good tip when writing is to have a solid idea of what you want to show and how, to have the idea of how you want the protagonist to progress, the world and what role the other characters play in it, those two things and you have it one of my favorite stories. >3<
