While a holy relic, holy item, elixir, or whatever it is can be useful for years, an skill can and will be useful for your whole life, and since you have beasts you can train maybe even after your life ends. Settling for something that down the line will only be useful as paper weight or something to be auctioned off is something only someone stupid would do.

i really like the possible ways this story can progress. I think it has a lot of potential for development, mostly in the MC, since he seems like someone who is fully dependent on his powers. I understand that he doesn't have guts because of the situation, but i would like it if he could be corned into using a combination of his author class and his brains. Using some sort of limitation, like, 'you can only control their affection towards you because of the difference in power host' messages from the system or the kind.
