I Died and Become the King of the Nation is a new twist in kingdom building genre that deviates from the standard norm where the main character is transmigrated to a medieval era. This story is set somewhere in late nineteenth century to 20th century where France is not a republic yet. It is about a man named Ernest who transmigrated to the body of King Francis Martin the nineteenth who suddenly ascends the throne after his father's death. Now he is to run the kingdom who is in a verge of collapse due to the revolution of the people's government, National Assembly. Ernest, who just arrived in the world was forced to become the king and lead the kingdom from its destruction. Enacting sensible reforms that will help save their economy and drafting a new constitution where he'll limit his power in hope for people to stop revolting. So far it's interesting and I'm so excited for more chapters. Mark my words, this will become the best kingdom building in novel when it reach hundreds of chapters. Sorry about the english, not my first language.

Woah woah woah, hit the brakes there man. Where are you getting this lofty dreams? I thought he wanted to stay in his domain and now he wants to take over the world? Well the idea is cool but I got to ask, why? What motivates him to colonize other countries? You're just a barony yet you are already thinking far ahead. Like you're implying you'll be the Kaiser of Germany and go lebensraum.
To achieve this, he would first need to unite Germany and gain some coastal territories; he wanted major Naval bases in the Baltic, North, and Adriatic Seas. Then he would need to build a mighty Navy to maintain colonial power. - Daswsa2yrReplied to chance_isaac
Sadly, that's not how it reality works.
However, the reasoning was more for the wide variety of crops and spices it could bring back and less for the territorial expansion. Nevertheless, when he was able to do so, he fully intended to take advantage of the European powers' lack of knowledge of the rest of the world and lay claim to territories in the Americas, Africa, and Asia.
