No energy on the template so the new world is probably somewhat lowkey if it even has supernatural powers to begin with. Maybe more Wuxia then Xianxia? I guess the average Xianxia world is way too high class to be this early into the series.
No way Zhou Jin wins unless Xaiolin’s superpower doesn’t boost her physical toughness and reaction speed. She could destroy a house before any training, and is a ranged fighter to boot. Only way I see him winning is if he can manage to speed blitz her, but he’s not that fast compared to actually speed based superpowers or maybe catches her off guard with a lighting bolt since she doesn’t know about it.
So he’s a college student not a high school one? Or do Chinese high schoolers live on campus?
Why does he have health but the protagonist have lifeblood? Are they two different concepts?
I’ll be upfront and say that I’m looking for something to replace legendary mechanic. We’ve had thousands of shitty isekai, how come we only have two novels like Legendary Mechanic? So I’ll be going into the novel very biased into trying to like it. However, I just can’t make myself remotely enjoy this. It’s translation quality is mid, it’s character development is non-existent and the power system itself is so boring and contrived that it can be completely ignored for the most part due to its complete inanity. For example, the MC is a mage, and mages do not get any fucking spells until level 10. That’s right, they are unironically useless until you have completed several hours of gameplay. Story based MMORPGs are often bogged down by mechanics that will never show up in any game, but this is taking the cake imo. The MC’s only way to level up until lvl 10 is to sit down and meditate. It breaks the immersion so hard, that I think the author has never even played a game before. The story itself is also nothing to write home about, it takes absolutely no effort to flesh out any character other than an initial personality check (this is even for the MC themselves) and the pacing both incredibly slow (as nothing happens for like 6 chapters) then randomly speeds up so fast that everything we’ve gotten used to at that point is just thrown out the window because the author wants a new setting for the story. It’s not even a good time waster as the translation itself is super mid. Don’t waste your energy on this. Hopefully another good NPC novel comes out in the future (RIP Legendary Boss)
She said her journey was like an ugly duckling, i.e. she went from being the lowest to the highest like the story about said duckling. It’s a metaphor, she’s actually ugly.
