my two cents about this novel: tl;dr; i love it. if this gets serialized with manhwa it will beat solo leveling by many places. but.. and here are the buts: - author adds ton of 'possibilities' for characters, that are mentioned once and never ever used again. - author very often uses this weird 'glipse into the future' way of writing which to be honest is quite annoying (example: [story happens], suddenly we are 6 months in the future, sunless (main character) does one thing and then story comes back to where the jump into future happened and everything continues from there. might as well never mention this random event and continue without a break which never adds anything anyway). - author adds mechanics in this 'fantasy' world out of nowhere that are unexplained and make no sense (essence). they also mostly affect only mc and not any other character. - mc, supposedly the divine being with the most unique abilities out of everybody.. yet he is the weakest/most useless person in majority of situations. while he grows in superb way with all the flavor added to his evolutions, in the end, is no stronger than anybody else who did not receive such fireworks when they progressed. - numbers. well, this one can be seen across most novels but yes, author comes up with a number, but then all the events don't add up to it. - i wish sunless' meme "are you crazy?!" was actually "how.. how is it even possible?!" or "damnation!". it would make more sense. honestly the amount of those exclamations is an overkill. Sheesh, i wonder how things are even possible, in a world full of magic that nobody on earth has any idea how works/where came from but yet they question the logic and complain that things should not be happening as they are. - mc IQ is negative. seriously, i want to kill him every time he does something dumb, because it's always that dumb. but if those points aren't taken into account, it still is one of the best novels i've read/reading and has very good potential for a success just like certain other titles.
