What do you expect the character to be op by chapter 5?

You are full of waffle. 'the clearly artificially constructed relationships which are designed to appeal to the reader'. No offence but in an offensive way you're trying to sound smart when you clearly are not. I am not trying to diss the author here but he is not some first-class writer. And then, 'more of a flavour- what tf do you even mean. You don't even know what you mean by this, you probably read this somewhere and thought it sounded clever so decided to remember it. Well, spoiler you look like an idiot And finally 'appeal to the reader' and 'something you find in real life'. I can confidently state you have never been in a relationship because if you think that in real life the concept of polygamy is even remotely accepted you are too far gone. It's why I hate stories like this or with harems- there is no realism whatsoever and it is just lazy writing. I probably was too harsh there but I cba to deal with people who seriously think that polygamy and harems can ever be attuned to 'real life'

I feel like Ivy is a representation of the big flaw with this story. The writer attempts to deviate so far from the storyline that at this point there is no visible conclusion in sight. Let's be honest, Ivy is a very boring character who brings absolutely nothing to the story apart from unnecessary tension. Personally, I would have preferred her character to either not exist or to actually be a character and have a personality, or be anything different. She ruined the relationship between Daphne and Quinn and is ruining daphnes character too. Ivy is an example of the writer trying to write in his own ideas and create a masterpiece yet compromising this huge plan by making the characters feel bland and 2 dimensional. I can't even figure out Quinn's character now and the other likeable characters like Eddie are out of the story currently. It is just disappointing really how in his attempt to improve the story the author has sabotaged it.

Appreciate the chapter but I feel like the last three have been unnecessary and dragged out

It's just disappointing, to be honest, and is an incredibly stale read. Character development and story development do not feel natural but forced. The quality of writing isn't good enough; the story is basically 'character x says this. Character y is uncertain about this. Character z supports character x. Character y decides it is not a bad idea. Character x then revolutionises his whole kingdom and becomes a superpower.' It doesn't make much sense at all and the attempt to combine GOT and HP is laughable. Within 4 chapters the MC conveniently finds a huge stash of gold which is never mentioned in any iterations of GOT and then it is just brushed over as if that is a normal occurrence. In conclusion, if you want to read an actually good novel, ignore this. If you're up with a meh read that will very mildly satisfy you, feel free to try, but don't say I didn't warn you.
