Why is Mars focusing on his water weakness? is there a scenario where he can't activate his ability to nullify water?
While Mars had a conditional immunity to water energy/moves, it did not change that he had a natural weakness to "water", which was why we had decided to work on it. Mars had to actively suppress his Desolate Land ability every time we worked on his water resistance, and we had been hopeful that with a bit of luck, we could skip a lot of future work. That applies to the common trainer but so far the practical year has been a waste of time for the MC with only the military assignment maybe having some value. As the practical year is mandatory the MC should still feel he has to do it but we should have been able to see his reluctance more and him regretting all the wasted time.
Many humans tended to not appreciate/look down on things they were given for free, so it was possible that quite a few aspiring trainers wasted the chances/lessons they were given. Quite unwise in my opinion, but that was how things went quite often. - Hoque0077mthCommented
