I think she grew too, actually. She loves him very much, got attached, and just needs him to say that he doesn't rejects her and loves her :)

The writting is so perfect! I love how the characters are develop, how we get to see what they think, their perception, and it helps us understand them and their reactions! That moment Trinity thinks about how Reece never actually said he doesn't hate her and rejects her, how she debates that she can't give herself to someone who hates her... amazing !

That's usually what I don't like in many stories similar to this one, but I actually like that, in this story, she can stand up for herself, even if she feels this irrationnal attraction to him. Oh and the fact that he doesn't actually hate her and just says it to "protect" her (even if its dumb) helps too 😅

Yes! But I love that the author develops the characters like she did in this chapter and doesn't just make it happen right away, it brings a lot to the story :)

How in the world does he not realize that he's doing the complete opposite of what he's saying? To everyone outside, he IS openly close to her (in appearence), because they are faking it.. how can he think pushing her away in secret can help anything?
