Well he doesn't need to form a pair . He can easily score 400+ marks in total , and as per the rules , single students would have score doubled by face a penalty , but that penalty wouldn't affect him much as his score would be much much above 501 even with that deduction . Without holding back , I think he should be able to score 490 marks easily

Yamauchi is the most disliked classmate imo , after what happened in Class C after the rumors spread . He also doesn't contribute much to the class , so you could call him 'unnecessary'
