Wasn't the earlier explanation regarding a bite from a werewolf ...not an Alpha's bite (actual skill).

Perhaps the alpha bite can overwrite the DNA of other altered. in that case, the most likely candidate for Luna is obvious....

Doesn't berserk only give him an increase of 25% to strength all the while he can't use any other skills? If the target is faster than him as in this case, they could just run and wait for it to wear out.

Considering the class upgrade, he needs to up his agility and strength, get more skills that can synergize with his draining claws or make them more deadly or allow him to hit a lot faster. Last stand is definitely not a long term solution. When it runs out and if he hasn't recovered the health he lost while it is active, it is going to be lights out for him... permanently.
