I know but I was thinking along the lines of it having stored energy which stephen was using to delay the time as much as possible and the day the stored energy was gone was the day he had to leave. I must have forgotten to describe it
At first, the pact didn't matter as we both loved each other but now it did. I was starting to feel a pull around me and this pull gave me the familiarity of my world. Well I think that world’s will always sides with the villain that is why they are born either with powerful physique or powerful background which they can’t use properly because the heavens always favours its favourite child and it is stronger than world’s will. From my pov, the world’s will always strengthens when authors choose the villains as their main character.

From some of the other novels I have read will of the world always support the villains and destiny and heavens support the protagonists.

Author first told the god thought it was cruel to seal evil dragons in modred because he will become mad then he says he will not suffer as he seals the dragons and that too till the end of time
