it is really sad that she has gone so long without any word from Vincent. Sure she is being self absorbed but she is just a teenager, but that long without any letter or note is bound to mess with your psych.
Delaney had them taken to her room where she returned to look at them. She sat on the end of her bed and looked at the gown hanging across the room and again thought about the way her birthday might have been. Cora stepped out of the open door then, getting down from the carriage. "Well, I'm going in," she waved a hand over her shoulder, "You can come with me or sit out here and not even try." With those words she turned and marched towards the stables, reminding Delaney of the stubborn little girl she used to be. I feel like Delaney is obviously the main female character but CORA is a real show stealer and I love her to boot
Up in her room, Delaney found her friends all waiting for her. She had hardly seen them since the night of the party at Vincent's. They waited eagerly to hear all about her time with him and tell all about their own weeks. It seemed everyone had spent most of their time with their husbands to be, even Cora, who said she was surprised to find Miles wasn't as stupid as she thought. - Harles_111mthCommented

Much too soon their week was over and they were all loading into carriages again to head back to school. When Vincent's carriage stopped in front of Delaney's house she hurried out to meet him. I like this shallow character. I hope she developes into a less shallow one but this is a crazy simple and perfect flaw to have that you just don't see enough
Delaney looked past him for a moment and saw how everyone seemed to watch them and she nearly laughed. She may not be a child anymore but she still got a secret thrill from the attention. She knew that was part of the reason she loved the club. Being one of the only women there, all eyes were usually on her. Now here, with Vincent, she had that again. - Harles_111mthCommented

Mliles put out his hand hesitantly, still looking around for his mother, but Cora grabbed it, dragging him out onto the floor. When the music began, the pair started dancing and it quickly became the most memorable dance of the night. No sooner had they started, then Miles stepped too soon, crushing Cora's toes beneath his foot. She yelped and scrambled back. It is pretty heavily inferred that Madeline has a plain dress but i wonder if the beige is close to her skin tone. That alone would be extremely eyepopping as people deduced whether she was actually nude xD an excellent set up, author ✌🏼
The castle was lit up with torches of fire, and right now it looked beautiful. Madeline continued to look at the castle which in truth was as big as the village they lived in. Every person who had stepped out of the carriage and was getting down were dressed in different materials and texture of clothing that was eye-catching.
