yep, but it also depends on if it's a formal event or a 'casual' event typically also. for example if this was a formal event hosted by royalty or even a noble, nobody should leave (without justified cause anyways) before royalty does. if a 'casual' event the social rules are a lot looser. i'm thinking this one is actually a 'casual' event since it seems like commoners are among the guests, and kids are preforming.

mc really needs to make some obtuse plants to compliment his subtle ones. personally i'd think treant and later full blown ents with their elemental immunity would be good candidates. keeping his enemies distracted and focused on the tank while he does some DPS red/black mage type stuff.

nice copy paste posting... but sure, he can go full sociopath with people that are outside of those he's looking to form a relationship with. survival doesn't yet apply to his situation so no, that does not justifying how scummy he's being with his own close ones. other than the novel's title MC really has no reason to manipulate those he's close to. anyone at the level of a stranger MC can go full tilt with and i would only blink and exclaim a little surprise.

as someone who hates the MC a little i wish he wasn't such a sociopath. but i don't wish the author to stop writing. just that there would/will be consequences to his lies.
There was a lot more details that I didn't add. Especially in the part between my first performance and the decades after that. The young me was very passionate about my dreams and a LOT of things had to happen for me to finally put it down for good.
