It doesn't work that way. I've tried it. the juices from the meat cooking turn and spice picked up from Carolina reaper marinade into more like eating a raw ghost pepper seeds and all at worst. Still hot, but not Carolina reaper hot. If your cooking technique isn't great you'll only end up habanero hot. Once I realized that I started using Carolina reapers in marinades quite a lot. You'd have to stuff it under the skin of a chicken or duck or something te even get most, but not all, of the heat.

The writing is still stiff, but significantly better after editing. The one problem I had with this story on scribblehub was just how hard it was to read. The story itself wasn't exactly professional writing, but engaging and better than a lot of what is out there. The world building is handled well and most of the time rolled into the story telling rather than wild info dumps. I'm glad I can actually read this now without getting a fatigue headache from constantly having to mentally edit the story.
