I think the bruise is from the snogging session with Rayven the night before. If I understood the reading correctly, this last chapter was what she was doing during the day while Rayven was away & in the previous chapter it ends up that he can't find her but she is "somewhere" in the castle because she is curled up in the dungeons surrounded by bats....I hope I understood the sequence right... 🤔
