BUT the media portrayed it as something of world ending and we will go back to Stone Age from 1/1/2000 🤣. My family bought extra gas, generators, food etc. literally every available generator, flashlights, clotheslines was bought by people.

Yeah. Most Hospitals still use them and it is not just ER and surgeons. Nurses, technical staff, doctors etc everyone use them. Kinda like a default internal communication system. But I heard hospitals are moving away from it. They are using work phones, APPs etc.

The pacing is okay. Sometimes the pace is good and sometimes the pace is less. I felt like the academy arc pace is reduced like you can cover certain more in single chapter than stretch it to 2 whole chapters. My other complaint is you creating unnecessary suspense which is not necessary for this type of novel. The only way for us readers to navigate this book is to shelf the novel for few months and read the stacked chapters. BUT THE MOST IMPORTANT thing is don’t get burned out. I STRESS and REPEAT, don’t get burned out.
Ps: If it's about the pacing, I really am trying to speed things up. But honestly I've come to realize that this is just how I write. I love adding details(that might seem useless to you) when I'm writing. And if it irks you, this poor author is sorry :(. Ill try my best to ramp up the pace. Chutney directly translates to pickles but the way the author used in this specific context refers as ‘paste’ meaning that guys head turned into a mushy paste.

As an FYI for future readers, the book is good and not your typical wham bham kabham novel. The story progression might be little slow for now but it is because author needs to lay groundwork for future.

After this priv is done I will probably bury this book for a year or 2 and read again. Man I hate these type of authors who create unnecessary suspense. This book doesn’t have an LOTM similar suspense storyline. What is the point of creating suspense every time a new subplot thread is being introduced? And on top of it these rediculous filler chapters which is ruining the flow again and again. Single decision thing is spread across 2 chapters.
