Started reading this out of sheer boredom and was immediately hooked. Well-written, engaging, all of that. When the idea of multiverse/world travelling came up I was initially disappointed. I usually hate that kind of thing, it's often just a bad way of trying to keep a bland story interesting. Anyway, super glad I kept reading. Actual depth to the characters, interesting and enjoyable MC. Can't believe I'm actually saying this, but world-travelling done right! Reasons why it's necessary, meeting new characters without discarding old ones, it even fits with the plot! I'm astounded and impressed. Loving this story
Great story, with actual -real- character growth in a way that is truly a joy to read. Well-written and enjoyable. Any obvious plot devices are easily forgiven as the author makes great use of them, where they have an actual effect on the characters rather than being random/useless as is so often the case. Definitely binge-worthy. Can't wait for more.
Amazing writing, there are a few mistakes here and there but they are completely negligible. The characters have depth. They are interesting. The world-building is great. All of it expands on the original world in a sensible and enthralling way. I never thought I'd enjoy a fanfic about an animated movie. Boy, was I wrong. Likeable, fierce and growing MC who is largely on a violent journey of self-discovery. Fantastic story author! Can't wait to see where it goes.
This has unfortunately become grimdark-esque. I miss the intelligent, charming MC. The one that could've guided his brother or maybe become the head of the STAB alliance and saved his house. I like powerful dark MC's just the same, but the character changed so much that he's unrecognizable. It feels like he lost everything that made him special
It started great. Mc was smart, charming and likeable. By Ch 30+ he is an angsty idiot. Too much drama, too much negativity. Maybe, he'll get through it but it's just too much all at once. I'll admit it's really well written and 5 stars to that. If I reviewed at chapter 15 this would've been 5 stars across the board. The story took a heavy nosedive since then. It's one angsty drama after another and every time it's nearly solved it gets worse. Starting to remind me of grimdark, in that things suck, then you get hopeful, and it looks like there is a solution on the horizon, only for your hopes to get dashed and then things suck more than before. Maybe things change and problems are solved but that's it for me. the story has lost something special, and it won't get that back
Basically bad MC done right. Not a wimp with no follow-through, not an edgelord, and still human enough to understand. Sometimes you hate Jorah, sometimes you love him. The hero westeros might need but would never ask for. All in all, a great read, with JManM's signature hilarious takes sprinkled for good measure. -Extremely vague spoiler below- My only criticism is the way that Jorah became too powerful. Don't get me wrong, the story was still great, I just wish it could've ended more naturally/peacefully. I don't want to spoil anything so I'll leave this be. Great story!
I really wanted to like this story. It's exactly the type of story I was looking for, or so I thought. The writing/translation is awful. It's nearly impossible to read. The characters are... incredibly unrelatable and story itself is super hard to follow. And I mean I like wish-fulfillment, sometimes it makes a great -relaxing- read, but this is too much. No one questions anything, the dialogue is so contrived and forced that it pains me to read it. Just... super disappointed. And before anyone says it gets better or something, I made it to chapter twenty. That's far enough I think. Nothing had improved by then
I don't think I've ever read a story that ticked every box i have like this one. Often i read stories that, while enjoyable, always have one or two issues that I have to ignore. This one is just perfect. The characters are great, the crossover elements are done perfectly (just enough to add interesting familiar elements without detracting from the story). Lastly, a WebNovel story with good grammar! I mean how crazy is that?! Please keep writing!
Quite a few grammar mistakes, especially mixing up words. Though overall not hard to read. The story as a whole is fairly well written and stays true to the GOT universe. Though I just can't stand the MC. I know that he's supposed to be ruthless, cold etc. But a review is my personal opinion and I just can't relate at ALL with such a psychopath. His thought process just makes me sick. If you're looking for an intelligent, cunning, ruthless (get the women and children too, kind of ruthless) MC, who always looks out for number one. then this is the story for you. But not for me
This one was a bit weird, really enjoying the story so far but reading about this South Africa as someone from here... It's like a weird version that has nothing to do with reality? I mean we don't have a king, warlords and so on. It's pretty much the most developed nation in Africa. Anyway, not trying to bring too much reality into fiction. Just commenting. Keep writing, the story is great!
Yeah, we don't have a king, no slavery and closest thing to a warlord is maybe like gangs or taxi bosses (don't ask) but most countries have those?
