ordinary probably means someone who relied on pills to advance their cultivation level
For level 0 there is no penalty
these names are they character usernames in a game not irl names, the translator just kept them in pinyin instead of translating it. just shorten them in your mind. they are pronouncable just tricky bcuz of lack of spacing and also due to ppl being unfamiliar with reading pinyin (you get used to pinyin as you read more c novels)
They call it that in books too
a generation varies from culture to culture. in the west, a generation is usually 15 yrs. in asian countries its around 7 to 15 yrs.
SMITE
200 lbs is around 90 kg.
Wanted to post this earlier, but for some reason I cant comment on stuff without a comment already. You do not have the right to remain silent, it's "Leniency to those who confess, severity to those who resist" in China
it's different. she grew up with her fiancé and she liked him. that other girl was only recently engaged to that older dude. she just realized that her whole life was based on a lie and that she's being forced into marrying an older man with 3 kids in the place of the person who stole her life. the parents who raised her didnt even think to offer to speak with dude and care about her at all. they just dropped her like a sack of rocks.
whenever i see pounds in a translated work im skeptical. because i have doubts that they converted kg to lbs. if its 220 kg that would be over 480 lbs. which would make sense, in this case (considering the descriptions of the mc body), however i have seen similar descriptions where they say 98 lbs and be just as big as this mc (not height wise tho, they usually avg height women (5'2" to 5'7")) (98 kg is only 215 and wouldnt give ppl such exaggerated bodies). the point is its a mixed bag and this time it is likely a translation error and not an authors over exaggeration
More than 1 way to salute
There is more than one way to skin a cat and more than one way to salute. The text says pinched, so i went with the pic i posted, but I know of at least 5 more ways you can salute in Taoism.
🤢
what op means is that the language used here is unnatural in general, and seems forced
I left off a line. The 1860s to 1900s was because of when cassava came to uganda. not the wedding traditions themselves. sorry, that wasnt clear
