I recommend a story called "I'm on TV" by Bar Calack on questionable questing (it used to be on webnovel, but it seems to have been deleted). On another note, the business deals the MC makes are on point, even if you skew the situation to be in his favour by using the AU cheat. But I am worried that you have taken away a lot of the future conflicts the story might need all at once, and now all that is left is to just write down making each thing and show his opponents being jealous.
For 1999: Notting Hill(if casting age can be fiddled with), The Matrix (the wachowskis kinda wanted an androgynous person for trinity because of the trans messaging they wanted to add in, might make casting difficult). Star wars (is fox distribution so have an in, but will likely be critical ally panned),The mummy, 10 things I hate about you (more in her age range, but she is probably too beautiful for the role) 2000: the gladiator, how the grinch stole Christmas (was the top grosser that year, but was critically panned), Almost Famous, chocolat Honestly, she is a bit too young for a lot of the roles.
Honestly, I don't mind whatever your update rate is, you are posting here for free. But, for the love of all things holy, please stop these author's notes posts and then deleting them. It screws up the numbering and then when you post a new chapter after deleting a note, webnovel derps out on the continuity. It's frustrating. If you miss out on an update, just update the reason on the next post. And save author's notes and stuff for the chapters.
Not a criticism, but a perspective I'd like to add on the hand drawn animation. Hand drawn animation is not a good idea in the long run. One of the biggest reasons it failed when compared to 3d in America is the inability to control costs. 3d animation is almost as much work as 2d,but had some advantages such as being able to keep art styles constant after the master templates are fixed. So, even of you change artists midway, you don't get into massive trouble. This is one of the reasons production costs ballooned after the massive success of the lion King. Artists demanded almost double pay and Disney had union issues and had to accept. Then other studios continuously poached talent. This is one of the reasons why Japan can still churn out 2d while America pretty much stopped in the 2000s. Even Pixar had similar problems after Toy story. Costs for a bugs life and toy story 2 where much higher. 3d movies also has a wider target audience than 2d,which is usually below 14. So the box office return curves were a lot shorter than 2d movies as they need parents to take kids to the movies. So movies run for a long time in the theater, which reduces profit for the studio as the theaters take a larger cut the longer the movies run. As the 90s progressed, theaters preferred to run a shorter cycle as well as they were more profitable for them too. It's an additional reason why 2d movie sequels went straight to VHS. They already had an audience, so it was better to sell those directly than share with theaters over a long time. Long story short, try to put the animators in a subsidiary shell company so that it would be easy to sell that as a business unit later on or they will bleed money. When Disney took over ABC, they had a lot of debt and were forced to cut costs. All of these things slowly added to Eisner's fall in Disney.
This might just be the ocd talking, but I hope you delete out these notes or move them inside chapters so that the webnovel ch nos and your ch nos match. It's low key driving me crazy. Also, an additional suggestion for how the MC made his money apart from his stories is, to have used his prior knowledge on the currency markets during the yen crisis and also during the fall off ussr (which I think is an upcoming event) Keep up the good work. I am enjoying this.
