This was a very interesting read to start my morning with! I really enjoy how the MC's personality and relationship with those around her is well established through thoughts and dialogue! I really enjoy how the character's interact with each other that makes it engaging and at times comedic! there's very little grammatical issues that I would notice but didn't ruin my reading experience! This was a fun read and I'm looking forward to reading more!

Li Mei is such a fascinating character! I love how the story is built on the tension between humans and merfolk! It's a conflict that can be simple, yet have many different paths to it! The writing did make me lose w bit of focus at times, but besides that this was a very enjoyable read!

I really enjoyed getting into this story! The MC's strong personality and determination is an inspirational one all young readers can enjoy! The writing is also unique and easy to read without having to double back! I hope those reading can agree!

The format of this story certainly stands out and I'm not even bothered by it! It makes the character's emotions and actions more visual! The story itself really starts off strong and continues on from there. You really get the sense of a mystery in it!

I must say I was surprised with how the beginning chapters do a great job at world-building! Descriptive fights are always a pain to write, but I enjoyed reading what was described! The way the author describes characters makes them more distinguished since that always helps! Honestly a great read!

I cannot believe the amount of drama in only the first chapter! It was a fun read and has a lot of well-used dialogue! I hope you continue creating more and enjoy doing it!

I always end up gravitating towards apocalyptic stories and I certainly enjoy how this one is going! Ashton and Matty are quite the characters and I did laugh at times with how they interact with each other! The first chapter is a great example of setting scene, character dynamic, and using cliffhangers to make you want to read more!

What I took notice of from this story was how the author uses the five senses! They're not always used, but when they are it makes stories like this even more enjoyable to read! The grammar in the chapters is just fine and the scenes are well described!

Just from the first chapter alone, it gives an amazing opening of the character's world, situation, and endings to chapters that leave you hooked! There are very minor grammatical issues but it doesn't take away from the story at all! I hope others reading this book can agree!
