I don't the mc needs the knowledge of magic and combat to know what he should be doing rn. -Minerva made it clear that ine must achieve spirit of 30 within 7 days. -Mc knows it'll take him longer than others to get there due to his low spirit aptitude. - It's already been 4 days and he's isn't even half day there. So It's just simple calculation as to what he should be doing rn. He doesn't have the luxury to live his childhood dreams especially when he *knows* he has weak Constitution and only way to strengthen it is to increase his spirit power. Which means increasing his spirit power is the most important thing! As of now, the mc seems indecisive and incapable of making right choices in the current circumstances. Add to that ego about not accepting help from Julian. All of this would have there wasn't a deadline to meet! Which makes the quality of decision making all the more important!
