First of all, I had a stroke reading that, Secondly, there would be a very slim possibility a spear would lose against a unarmed person. As long as the person wielding the spear were to have any kind of space between their opponent they would easily win just by keeping their oppenent at range.

The spear was one if not the best weapon used in medieval combat as well as one of the reason the homosapien race survived after the ice age and against the neanderthals.
