Save your money and time! Not a HEA. Ends on a ridiculous out of nowhere cliffhanger and no squeal. No questions answered, nothing is resolved, literally just a huge waste of time and money. The book is a slow and repetitive with promises of the real story/conflict unfolding but mostly just wastes your time avoiding anything actually interesting by useless back and forth between love interests. It goes on so long that you lose any invested interest in the story and characters and find yourself committed to reading just because you already spent so much money and time invested in it. TL;DR- book is boring, nothing gets solved/answered, and the random non-hea cliffhanger ending with no planned sequel is beyond frustrating!
He does punish his body through the scarring. It probably feels something like that to them. But loving this new prescriptive and reflecting rayven
This makes no sense. Why is the queen more powerful than the king, and why would armen claim to love seren so much but choose the queen's ego over showing his daughter any love or positive emotion?
Oh and i forgot seren was cursed never to fall in love or understand it by whom?m " they"? her mother?
You got that right. It's really hard to understand this explanation and how this all works. So Armen and Sierra accidentally fall in love and have a baby, but Sierra wasn't allowed to have a half human baby? So "They" (who? Her coven? Her family) wanted to kill seren? but to save her life sierra gave all her power to seren as an empty vessel, even though she could never use that power, so "they" cursed seren so that her negative emotions would harm people (Anger sets ppl on fire, pain starts a flood)? So then sierre cursed seren with the veil and forced armen to Keep her locked away and keep her untrained and ignorant because somebody ( "they"? Someone else?) can access the power in the empty vessel that is her daughter? wtf?
I guess this makes sense why she's so freaking clueless all the time with drayce. I mean it's been over a month they've been married and together everyday and night, and yet she still desn't understand simple romantic or intimate gestures like cuddling or touching. It's like she can't understand or learn.
Wait does that mean that Angelica's blood didn't have the same powerful effects?
Which one is he again? It's like this is the 3rd time he's ever mentioned, and I've completely forgot all about him. What's his deal again? Need a refresher on these Lord demons lol
Did he already try her blood when he healed her finger?
Wait so Marie isn't human? She's magical?
Oh ok. So you can casually mention it to your maid but still refuse to tell your husband who's been quite persisent on getting it off you 😒
But why does she have this belief? She literally meet him once.
Ok, but she has a ton of knowledge that seren and dryce should know, so can't she try to go see them before she dies or write them a letter or something? Martha feels guilty for not passing along knowledge, so why not fix that by passing along the knowledge? A lot of unnecessary plot holes in this story. Could seriously use an editor!
What a weird thing to do. Why not just tell her no first instead of letting her worry and feel scared... These games he plays are completely undermining his intentions of getting her to love him
Oh, you mean the few weeks she's been away from her horrible abusive life where you spent all this time confusing her with mixed signals of "Love is painful" dirty talk that you know she understands to be literally and not sexy, refusal to educate her on anything, and oddly tender gestures at random times didn't immediately eradicate her decades long conditioned distrust and fear of literally everyone, not even you, the devil who has the repetition of being the most brutal and cruel ruler? Shocking.
Duh. You keep telling her you want to hurt her to expreses your love when she's a traumatized infantilized abuse victim her entire life. Can you blame her?
Wait shes almost 18 and never had her period before? Was she malnourished or something? I mean, she really IS a child...
Im getting really frustrated they way these two are constantly behaving- he's keeps scaring her about love and she refuses to tell him about the veil curse. It's just chapter after chapter of the same boring thing. Let's move on already! We get it, she niave and awkward and he's impatient and controlling. Stop beating over the head with this narrative and move the plot along already. The book started off interesting but has been floundering for the past 50 chapters...
