I've read about 2.5k novels in this app and this is one of the two novels that stays true (in my opinion) to the prioritizing their own safety-psychotic-insane-genius-anti-hero mc trope, the ones who do the morally grey things to achieve their goals, even in the expenese of possible dislike of some readers to the mcs's actions (even though its's clear from the start that its the mc's personality and we love that for him)
