pagesforus1yrCommentedAdmittedly I really like their dynamic. They'll never have a normal relationship because of their past. I like that Winter never forgets. It was what drew me to this novel in the first place. Other manhwas/novels like this usually have the child act cute to earn their parents attention and love. I always hated that because I believe children shouldn't have to act a certain way to be loved. When Winter tried this exact strategy at the very beginning and it failed, it caught my attention. Good times lol.

I feel like it might turn her motivations from keeping herself alive to actual revenge against the empress. I was rereading the story, and Elias saved Winters life when she was about to kill herself. Of course he has his own stuff going on, (With Akira and whatnot.) But to Winter he quite literally was a lifeline. Which is going to make his inevitable (?) betrayal all the more painful for her.
