Then robb and catelyn politically stupid decisions And they have to provide army for southern wars when they know white walkers are bigger problem The main problem will be independence freefolk live beyond wall because they don't want to live under any southern Kingdom ( Targaryen) So, why will they give up there freedom to people who will only treat them as savage( as we know to this day people of South believe and treat north and Starks like savages after centuries) So , isn't it better you go to some island ( sotheryos, essos , etc) and establish kingdom there and return to help fight white walkers with better preparation ( army, weapons, money) Just a suggestion .
