I like story and writing so far, but if you wanna use stereotypes like abusive patriarchy or men in general, you should use them in action and happenings. Simply let actions inside the story speak for themselves. They don’t need to be verbally outspoken so often in inner dialogue or narrative judgment. Any statement becomes rather forced, meek and insecure like this. This is a personal opinion of course, but a very famous author once said, that writing is like magic. Not everything needs to be outspoken or described into detail, but the reader will still understand.
