Can Landon stop being a savior from nowhere every once in a while? The kings chosen by this system have been given several years to build their own strength but they are still: to borrow Landon's term: baby sitting. It's okay for Landon to be the savior, but at least give some fighting action between Sirius and the enemy and then Landon comes at the last moment like a typical hero. I mean for the title of "chosen child", Sirius and the others were a bit weak and lacked plot armor without Landon's involvement.

yep. to me the premise of why a Character is "special" or "chosen" is as important as the character's traits. I would be more accepting of a character being reincarnated or reborn in a world for no particular reason than suddenly hitting the jackpot of being chosen by God out of pity or interest. That's really an absurd and unspecial reason. and reading this review makes me no longer want to read it. I even immediately stopped at the end of chapter 1. just nope.

Agreed, it would be hard to create a character that "beats" Edward Bones. personally, Edward Bones is like an oasis MC among many "trash" main characters: (especially Japanese MC) who is naive, passive, can't stand up for himself, too tolerant of annoying girls, Beta, insecure, and overthinking; (or Chinese MC) who are absurd, illogical and irrational, sometimes even childish and stupid. This trash MCs really made me suffer reading it

looks good, but I don't know man. for me so far Edward Bones is the perfect MC that I want. Womanizer yet not hypocritical, ruthless for enemy but lover for those he loves.. Moreover, the MC starts with children who are not reincarnators. It doesn't relate to us, most of whom are adult readers who come from the ordinary world. the idea of combined souls as in other comments seems good, so MC still has remnants of modern souls reincarnating. for now finger crosses

It was quite fun at first, but suddenly the author did what many Chinese writers do: wrote extreme nationalist content about their hatred of the Japanese and that they were biased criminals. I quite understand this considering the past history of both countries and the war crimes that Japan committed. but gosh, we just want to read a fun story here and have a good time, not get caught up in propaganda. So I stopped at chapter 99, maybe if I'm in the mood to read again, I'll continue it. For now I prefer to dig up other stories on the web looking for other trashy light novels about cultivation
