Laniersmith2mthPostedFIrst of all, I love the story so far and I have reached the latest chapter (54). If you wonder what kind of story this is, I won't say it's generic although it's a regression and tower novel. I'll break it down for you guys so you can read it if you find this review helpful. 1. The MC isn't regressed from the point of the "end-game" because, in the first place, he never entered the tower in his previous life. He survived as a normal person, and not a Player as the title says. So he knows nothing about the tower and the situation inside which is not a cheat-like story where the MC knows everything. 2. Is MC a villain? A hero? The answer is, it's neither. And I think he's more like an anti-villain type of character. 3. MC is smart and focused on his goal which is revenge, and he would be seen as a villain by Players and could be called a hero by others. 4. No, there is no System for MC which is the first time for me. He learned everything from finding out about his abilities or learning from others. 5. The side characters are interesting and aren't bland at all because they have important roles. I found all the characters fascinating and the fact the author shows their sides of the story makes it fun to read. 6. Is it slow-paced? Overall, it's not slow-paced, but you can see the progress of MC's growth. 7. Is the revenge plot generic? It's for you to decide, but so far the revenge plot is just a small piece of the big picture. It's complicated because the truth about the tower blows my mind and I don't mind where the story is going right now. 8. The world-building is really great, and I think it's too early to say about this because MC is still focused on his growth. But the side characters' stories showed how the worlds inside the tower work, and I'm sure everything would change the moment MC climbs the tower. That's all I can think of right now because I can't spoil the story. I really recommend this story and I'm 90% sure that you'll enjoy it as well.

After I'm done with today's workout. I sat on the bench to rest my muscles. I closed my eyes for a minute and then I heard a noisy voice coming from upstairs. I opened my eyes to see who was talking so loud and smirked when I saw him. It was the guy who beaten the students this morning. I glanced at him and then our eyes met. Not many students are worried about it and some of them even want to meet this guy and see him in action. For me, I really don't care much about it and something like this happens every time. It always has the same case. A guy wanted some attention. Erii also didn't care about it unless that guy hit a girl then she will be furious about it. Erii and Ryo stood in front of my desk. We all went to the school hall and listened to his speech. He suggested that all of us shouldn't go home on our own and to be careful with our surroundings to avoid the same incident as those guys. He said that he already reported it to the police. He also informed us that the police had the same complaint from other schools and parents. It seemed that there are already so many victims from his doing. The police will patrol near the schools this evening and until next week to prevent the same incident to happen again. The two of us looked at Ryo and looked at what is he pointed at. A guy fought six of the students from our school. He deliberately knocked them out. Then he left. A dark red-haired guy with piercings on both of his ears... I'll remember that face. Then we immediately approached them and helped them up. Ryo asks, - Laniersmith3yrCommented
