Eris's character develops quite well in the later chapters so you just have to wait.
Gilgamesh could have easily avoided this, but thinking that she was just a spoiled child, he decided not to. He just raised his face a bit, forming a thoughtful expression, then raised his hands in a humble surrender gesture. Volume 1 would last more than 70 chapters but I decided to speed it up for immersion reasons, I understand that it is rushed but Gilgamesh himself will show simple respect. He is not someone who is interested in girls and in this part of the story he fully commits himself to Eris in marriage. However, this is his game specially made for everyone who tried to mess with him. He wants to split the Notos family with the Greyrat, his marriage is just an excuse for Gilgamesh not to purge the Asura kingdom of all nobles. There will be evolution of the story and relationships with Gilgamesh will not be formed without first having interacted. In some chapters a Gilgamesh will appear trying to be different but in others he will return to being as before, a good plot is coming and the first meeting with Rudeus.
